Four Low-carb Pizza Recipes

We adore the fact that National Pizza Month has 31 days. That is the max number of days it’s possible to be celebrating a national month, and pizza deserves it! National Pizza Month was founded in October 1984 by Pizza Today magazine.

It’s hard to find anyone who doesn’t adore pizza. The only reason to avoid it is for dietary concerns. Pizza crust is pure carbs. When you’re concerned about your carb intake, pizza can be hard to fit into your meal plans. But we’re sharing four low-carb pizza recipes for you to enjoy.

Vegan Cauliflower Pizza

So many low-carb pizza crusts rely on cheese, eggs or meat to bind them together. This one uses flax or chia seeds for glue. This recipe is vegan in the crust and toppings but still stays low-carb, making it so that everyone can enjoy it! Because the recipe recommends playing with the toppings and using what you like, they only give nutritional information for the crust; you have to do the math for the toppings yourself. A slice of crust is 63.5 calories, five grams of carbs, 3.4 grams of fiber and 2.3 grams of fat. Get the recipe.

5 Ingredient Low Carb Pizza

We need to make fun of the name of this recipe a little. The crust has six ingredients, and the topping has three more. That is still really few ingredients in a whole pizza, but it’s four more than the title claims. This pizza is so easy and tasty. Flour made from rolled oats is the base of the crust, while eggs and cream cheese do a lot of heavy lifting, acting as binders and adding a texture of toothsomeness. A serving has 130 calories, seven grams of carbs, 0.7 grams of fiber and five grams of fat. Get the recipe.

High-protein Chicken Crust Pizza

On the exact opposite end of the spectrum from the vegan pizza, we have this pizza. Vegans can’t have any product that came from an animal. This crust is made with ground chicken, cheese and an egg. Then it’s topped with a second type of cheese. Either pizza will be delicious depending on your needs or desires. A serving has 339 calories, seven grams of carbs, two grams of fiber and 20 grams of fat. Get the recipe.

Low-carb Roasted Veggie “Pizza”

This is a pizza-adjacent recipe. We think this is better as a dinner side than a pizza replacement. It’s our highest-carb option on the list, and it’s not pizza; it just got the flavors of pizza. Instead of a crust, this dish has a bed of roasted veggies that are then covered in tomato sauce, parmesan, mozzarella and cherry tomatoes. Is it tasty? Yes. Is it pizza? No. It’s more like a pizza-inspired veggie casserole. A serving has 207 calories, 15 grams of carbs, three grams of fiber and 10 grams of fat. Get the recipe.

We hope you enjoy these pizzas as you celebrate this month!
