Four Cottage Cheese Recipes for Folks Who Don’t Like It

We recently shared a recipe that used cottage cheese as an ingredient. We always share well-reviewed, delicious recipes. But one person on our team said there was no way she would try it as she hates cottage cheese.

Most of our team love it. It’s high in protein and calcium while low in fat, sugar and calories. It can be used in sweet and savory recipes. But, when asked, many people don’t like the texture.

Today, for people like our team member, we’re sharing delicious low-carb, low-fat recipes that don’t use cottage cheese that don’t resemble cottage cheese.

We love sweet mousses! We have shared many in the past. The problem with many low-carb mousse recipes is that they can be high in fat because of heavy cream and cream cheese levels. While treats are fine in moderation and can be part of a weight management plan, we love when a dessert can be enjoyed without cutting things elsewhere in the day! Plus, the cottage cheese gives the dessert nine grams of protein per serving! A serving has 125 calories, five grams of carbs, one gram of five and seven grams of fat. Get the recipe.

Healthy Crack Chicken

Crack chicken is a classic dish. Many of us hate the name. But we love the flavors. It’s creamy and tasty, and this version is so easy to make and way healthier than the original! The classic recipe is made with tons of cream cheese and packaged ranch seasoning. This is made with cottage cheese, Greek yogurt and spices. The Greek yogurt and cottage cheese give each serving a whopping 29 grams of protein while cutting out a ton of fat. And the seasoning mix makes it taste classic while cutting out sugar! A serving has 256 calories, five grams of carbs and 12 grams of fat. Get the recipe.

We hope that these delicious recipes help you cook with cottage cheese. It’s wonderfully healthy! If you have never enjoyed it in the past, these can be the keys that unlock the joy of cottage cheese for you!
