Low-carb, Eggless Orange Desserts

Last week, we shared wonderful lemon desserts. Our logic was that it’s the perfect time for lemon-flavored baked goods. Citrus fruits are in season, and it’s not too hot to turn on your oven.

We stand by that logic! However, three of the recipes used eggs. With the prices of eggs going up all the time, we understand that those recipes might not be right for you at the moment. So this week, we’re sticking to the theme of citrus fruit but sharing eggless, low-carb orange desserts that are worth turning your oven on!

Keto Cranberry Orange Cookies

The creator of this recipe suggests making these cookies for Christmas, you can easily make them all year round. The recipe calls for fresh cranberries, but frozen would work and be more inexpensive. This is a sweet and tart cookie made without any dairy, so they are perfect if you are eating vegan. A serving has 110 calories, three grams of carbs, one gram of fiber and 11 grams of fat. Keto Creamsicle Bars

Creamsicles are delicious. But they are nothing but sugar. Turning it into an amazing low-carb, no-bake cheesecake is a win in our book! We love no-bake desserts, and this orange version is perfect for spring! Read the recipe carefully before you start; the times at the top are wrong. It says prep is 25, and total is 20. We think it should be that active is 20. Plus, the bars need to chill for several hours before being sliced. Don’t try to make this right before dinner! A serving has 189 calories, 3.9 grams of carbs, 1.1 grams of fiber and 16.3 grams of fat. Get the recipe.

Orange Scones

We love scones. These crisp, tender scones are suitable for vegans and are ready in 25 minutes! They are easy to make. The trick to ensuring they rise is to add the correct amount of baking powder — there aren’t any eggs to add height. While the recipe calls for using orange essential oil, that can be controversial. You can use the same amount of orange extract instead if you prefer. A serving has 211 calories, 6.8 grams of carbs, three grams of fiber and 19 grams of fat. Get the recipe.

Healthy Vegan Blood Orange Curd

We love fruit curds on toast, yogurt, granola or even low-carb ice cream. However, many fruit curds are shockingly high in sugar. They can be off the chart with their sugar content for something so tart. We love this version that is easy to make and tasty. We also love the fact that it is dairy-free — you can bring extra jars to people as gifts even if they are vegan. A serving has 60 calories, seven grams of carbs and three grams of fat. Get the recipe.

We hope these eggless sweet treats help you enjoy citrus fruit more as we step into spring!
